Loushanhou Village

Loushanhou Village is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Situated within Quanwang Town, Loushanhou Village is the hometown of Empress Xiaozhenchun of the Ming Dynasty. Originally known as “Lou?o,” it was established in the early Ming Dynasty and has a history of over 700 years. The scenic area features a well-preserved ecological environment. The Xianquan Stream meanders around the village, flowing continuously throughout the year with pure and refreshing water. Ancient trees encircle the village, while Nainai Mountain stays green all year round. The village has deep cultural roots. It is among the first batch of key historical and cultural villages in our province for protection and utilization, with a long and rich history. Thirteen ancient structures still stand today, including Junhui Hall (a provincial cultural heritage site), Guojie Hall (a provincial cultural heritage site), and Jiqing Bridge (a municipal cultural heritage site). Intangible cultural heritage items such as the legend of “The Story of the Scabby Queen,” which tells the tale of Empress Wang, and Loushanhou rice wine have been included in the municipal intangible cultural heritage list. The scenic area has received a total investment of over 50 million yuan to improve infrastructure. In November 2017, it was rated as a national 3A-level tourist attraction.

Loushanhou Village: Located one li south of the town center, Loushanhou Village has a rich cultural heritage. A clear stream runs through the village, along which stand several Ming Dynasty structures including Junhui Hall (also known as Nainai Hall), Guojie Hall, and Jiqing Bridge, all of which date back over 400 years. The village currently has a population of 1,620, with 472 households and 15 villager groups. The total land area is 4,483 mu, including 1,287 mu of arable land and 2,000 mu of forested land. In 2004, the per capita income was 3,165 yuan, mainly derived from citrus fruits, grain production, and migrant work, with over 500 villagers working outside the village.
