Located to the west of Zhouzhuang Town in Suzhou, it is about 5 kilometers long and commonly known as Bai Xian River, named for the abundance of white clams in the river. Covering an area of 7.6 square kilometers with an average depth of 2.5 meters, every evening fishing boats return to anchor along the shore, where nets are spread out to dry and fish are sold, accompanied by fishermen singing tunes — creating a classic “fishermen’s song at dusk” atmosphere.

Zhouzhuang Town: Zhoushi Town is located in the northeastern part of Kunshan, bordering Taicang City and Changshu City. It was formed by the merger of the former Zhoushi, Xinzhen, and Luyang towns, and is designated by the Kunshan Municipal Committee and Municipal Government as the central area of the northern urban district.
