Yangzhou Phoenix Island Ecotourism Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction, a national water conservancy scenic area, and a national wetland park.

Guide: Yangzhou Phoenix Island Ecotourism Area is located in the northeastern suburbs of Yangzhou city. Here, rivers, lakes, and the Yangtze River are interconnected, creating a vast expanse where water meets sky. The island is covered with dense grass and forests, while reeds flutter along the water’s edge, and boats glide gracefully across the lake as fishermen sing at dusk. It is one of the best-preserved wetland landscapes of the plain-lake type on the Jianghuai Plain. The area offers a wide range of recreational activities. Visitors can enjoy horse riding, jet skiing, speedboats, and tandem powered parachutes. Activities such as ceramic art workshops, farming workshops, and fishing platforms allow hands-on participation. The tourism area is home to a variety of wild animals and precious tree species, with thousands of rare migratory birds such as egrets nesting in this pristine ecological zone, which experts have recognized as the best-preserved original ecological area in central Jiangsu. Attractions on the island include: the "Waterfowl Garden," where ducks, swans, and other water birds roam freely on the lake; the "Forest Boardwalk," surrounded by dense wild plants, meandering paths, and fragrant blossoms; the "River-Crossing Cable Bridge" with an old-world charm; the "Bird Watching Platform," perfect for birdwatching and enjoying the open sky; the "Fishing Center," offering a peaceful retreat for leisure and relaxation; as well as other scattered scenic spots such as the "Golden Bay Dam," the "Pigeon Release Square," the "Colorful Sculptures," and the film location of *Princess Pearl III*. Dining / Accommodation / Shopping: The scenic area also features uniquely themed leisure spots, including the boutique "Riverside Coffee Bar"; tea houses for relaxing and sipping tea, such as "Jufeng Tea House" and "Huahua Fang"; enjoy fresh lake delicacies on the "Dining Boat"; savor rustic home-style dishes at the "Farmhouse Restaurant"; and grill your own food at the "Country BBQ." Transportation: No. 88, Phoenix Island Road, Tai’an Town, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City. From downtown, take bus routes 25, 26, 66, or 101 to the terminal “Wenchangyuan,” then transfer to bus route 10 directly to the Phoenix Island Scenic Area. Alternatively, take bus route 4 to “Substation” and transfer to bus route 10. By car: From Nanjing: After arriving in Yangzhou city, exit the urban area and follow Yangjiang Highway (formerly National Highway 328). Pass “Wanfu Sluice” and after 600–700 meters, head north via Phoenix Island Road (formerly Xin Yangtai Highway) for about 8 kilometers (just over 10 minutes) to reach the Phoenix Island Scenic Area. From Shanghai: Take the “Shanghai–Nanjing” Expressway, then transfer to the “–” route, cross the “Jiangyin Bridge” toward Yangzhou, switch to the “Ning–Tong” Expressway, and exit at the “Hangji” interchange in Yangzhou (Sanxiao Group). Drive north for 1 kilometer to reach Phoenix Island Road (formerly Xin Yangtai Highway) and the Phoenix Island Scenic Area.
