The 2012 Columbia Cup Sanfo Outdoor Triathlon marked the thirteenth time the event has been held by Sanfo Outdoor since 2000. From its origins as a member experience, through the integration and experimentation of various elements, it has now evolved into a competition that not only draws many professional athletes but also continues to feature a team relay race for the experience group. The scale of the event has expanded from just dozens of participants in the beginning to over 300 today. This year also marks the fifth time the race has kicked off at the picturesque Qingxi Mausoleum in Yixian County. Competitors glide across the beautiful Longhu Lake, cycle along the tranquil paths of the mausoleum area, flanked by dense ancient pine and cypress forests, turning the race into a delightful experience. Running along mountain trails and among various palace structures, participants can not only feel the grandeur of history but also experience the unique charm of outdoor sports—the perfect harmony between humans and nature. Many athletes couldn’t help but remark after the race, “Exercising in such an environment is truly a pleasure.” The event officially started at 11:00 AM local time and all competitions were successfully completed by 4:00 PM. An award ceremony was then held at the race venue.
