Jiangshuiquan Park

Jiangshuiquan Park is situated in the northern part of Yanqing County, bordering the Badaling Hot Spring Resort to the south and the Laorenzhuang Reservoir to the north. It was originally a reservoir waterway and a large expanse of woodland. Designed by Beijing Jinghua Landscape Design Institute and built by the Yanqing County Municipal Management Committee, construction began in February 2003 and the park was completed and inaugurated on June 16. The park covers a total area of 500 acres, including 200 acres of water surface.

Jiangshuiquan Park integrates features such as cascading waterfalls, fountains, boardwalks, pavilions, garden bridges, and lighting to create various themed scenic areas including Flower Paradise, Stone Stream Play Area, Lush Forest Path, Fish-Leaping and Bird-Dancing Flower Harbor, and Mirror-like Autumn Lake. Each area boasts unique landscapes and distinctive styles. The park includes nine plazas with a combined area of 11,000 square meters: a Music Plaza, Eco Plaza, Parent-Child Plaza, Stream Listening Plaza, Arc Plaza, Viewing Plaza, as well as three entrance plazas in the south, north, and west. The park has laid 18,000 square meters of pebble riverbed, built 5,036 meters of concrete brick and granite pathway, constructed a large-scale cascading water and fountain complex covering 1,800 square meters, installed 520 meters of wooden boardwalks, and built 16 garden bridges — six reinforced concrete bridges and ten wooden bridges.

While preserving the existing woodland, the park introduced a variety of new trees and shrubs, creating a favorable ecological environment. Visitors can enjoy the beautiful scenery and elegant surroundings, where small bridges, pavilions, cascading waters, fountains, and sculptures complement each other, along with thousands of dazzling lights. The park provides residents with an ideal place for summer retreats, outdoor fitness, and leisure, marking another milestone in the urban development of Yanqing County.
