The Cliff Inscriptions on White Tiger Mountain are a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangsu Province.

The Cliff Inscriptions on White Tiger Mountain are located on White Tiger Mountain in Baihu Mountain Residential Committee, Quyang Office, Haizhou District, Lianyungang City. There are nearly 30 extant inscriptions from the Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, as well as from undetermined periods, including one Tang Dynasty inscription with a date, four from the Song Dynasty, two from the Jin Dynasty, two from the Yuan Dynasty, one from the Ming Dynasty, and six from the Qing Dynasty. In Lianyungang City, the White Tiger Mountain cliff inscriptions are unique in having six generations of continuously preserved and well-maintained stone carvings dating back to the Tang Dynasty. Among them, Tang Dynasty inscriptions are now very rare, while those from the Jin and Yuan dynasties are also extremely scarce in Jiangsu Province. In particular, the Northern Song Dynasty inscription by Zhang Shuye is especially valued by researchers of the Song Jiang historical figure.

The Cliff Inscriptions on White Tiger Mountain hold significant importance and value for the study of Haizhou’s history and ancient calligraphy art. They were designated as part of the fourth batch of cultural relic protection units of Jiangsu Province in 1995.

Protected Area:

East to the west wall of Bixia Palace, south to the South Ring Road of Baihu Mountain, west to the West Ring Road of Baihu Mountain, and north to the North Ring Road of Baihu Mountain.

It borders Jinping Mountain to the south, the Yudai River to the north, and is adjacent to the large Sino-Japanese joint venture, the Suntory Beer Factory, as well as municipal enterprises and institutions such as the Second and Fourth People's Hospitals. The area offers four scenic mountains and three rivers for sightseeing (Jinping Mountain, Kongwang Mountain, Shipeng Mountain, Baihu Mountain, Yanhe River, Qiangwei River, and Yudai River), among which the Kongwang Mountain Scenic Area and Shipeng Mountain Scenic Area are national AAA-level tourist attractions.
