The ruins of the Song-Jin battlefield at Liuzhizhou Mountain are designated as a cultural heritage site under protection by Jiangsu Province.

The ruins of the Song-Jin battlefield at Liuzhizhou Mountain are located on Liuzhizhou Mountain, Jiashan, and Yabashan between Gangzui Village and Jiudian Village in Jinping Town, Haizhou District, Lianyungang City. The site features seven stone carvings depicting ships, including engravings of 20 vessels ranging from 30 to 300 cm in size; there are also remnants of a defensive city wall built with massive stones, approximately 500 meters long, 4.7 meters wide, and about 2 meters high, along with battlements. In addition, on the northern slope of Jiashan and Liuzhizhou Mountain, there are numerous stone carvings left by soldiers of that time, including inscriptions such as "Zhaoxin Army," "Front Unit of Zhaoxin," "Commander Su," "Anhuai Army," "Jin People," and "Jin State," as well as depictions of figures, animals, buildings, and bell-shaped images. The characters in the inscriptions measure about 6–15 cm in height, with styles including regular script and semi-cursive script. The images range from 15 to 100 cm in size.

Judging from the ship designs in the rock carvings at Liuzhizhou Mountain, the defensive walls at Jiashan, the artillery platforms at Yabashan, and the many other Song-Jin relics, Liuzhizhou Mountain was indeed a battlefield during the confrontation between the Song and Jin dynasties. The ship carvings may be related to the event recorded in the History of Song, in which Li Bao’s naval forces of the Southern Song “anchored in the East Sea” and joined Wei Sheng in resisting the Jin troops. In 1995, it was announced as part of the fourth batch of cultural heritage sites protected by Jiangsu Province.

East to Xiaojie Cave, south to the foothills of Wangzhuang Village on Yabashan, west to the foothills of Liuzhizhou Mountain, and north to the northern side of the collapsed stone quarry area.
