The Li Ruzhen Memorial Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Lianyungang City.

The Li Ruzhen Memorial Hall is located on the campus of the Vocational Middle School in Banpu Town, Haizhou District. Originally part of the Qing Dynasty "Banpu Salt Tax Office," known as the "Salt Tax Office Gate," it is a two-courtyard Huizhou-style building.

Historically [Li Ruzhen Memorial Hall] was an important distribution hub for Huai salt, and was home to renowned literati such as the Two Xus (Xu Qiaolin, Xu Guilin) and the Two Qiaos (Qiao Shaoqiao, Qiao Shaofu). Li Ruzhen, author of the classic literary work *Flowers in the Mirror*, came to Banpu Town at the age of 19 with his elder brother Li Ruhuang. He settled here, married, raised a family, and spent half his life completing enduring works such as *Flowers in the Mirror*, *Li’s Phonology Mirror*, and *Handbook for Teaching Children*. A courtyard near his former residence has been converted into the Li Ruzhen Memorial Hall. After renovation and expansion, it was officially opened to the public in September 1992. The memorial hall is built in the late Ming architectural style, tranquil and elegant, with ancient trees, famous flowers, green grass, and moss in the courtyard, retaining much of the ambiance from the era when the masterpiece was written.
