Site of the Sanyuan Palace Meeting

The Site of the Sanyuan Palace Meeting is a cultural tourism attraction.

Sanyuan Palace is nestled in the misty and lushly forested Huaguo Mountain. In 1929, as the workers' and peasants' movement was gaining momentum in the Haizhou region, the CPC Donghai County Central Committee decided to hold a meeting during the traditional temple fair on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month (Bathing Festival) at the West Flying Tower of Sanyuan Palace. Dozens of key Party members from counties such as Donghai, Guanyun, Ganyu, and Shuyang attended the meeting. A representative from the CPC Xuhuai-Bengbu Special Committee also participated. The meeting was chaired by Li Chao Shi, Secretary of the County Central Committee. The representative from the Special Committee conveyed the spirit of the Sixth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and Li Chao Shi gave a report on the situation and tasks in the Haizhou region. The meeting lasted from May 6 to May 22. After the meeting, the Party organizations in the Haizhou region deepened their engagement with workers and peasants, laying the foundation for further mobilization and organization of the masses in the struggle.
