Ascending the Eighteen Bends and walking a short distance will bring you to the South Heavenly Gate. In *Journey to the West*, it serves as the outer gate of the Jade Emperor’s Heavenly Palace. Whenever Sun Wukong ascended to heaven to seek help, he would first report here. An old Guan Yu Temple once stood at the South Heavenly Gate but was destroyed during the Japanese invasion. Before the Opium War, Lin Zexu visited this spot and left behind three famous seven-character regulated verses.

Huaguo Mountain Subdistrict: Following the 2013 administrative division adjustment, Huaguo Mountain Township was abolished and Huaguo Mountain Subdistrict Office was established. The subdistrict office is located at No. 26 Huaguo Mountain North Road, Dacun Residents' Committee, covering an administrative area of 39.7 square kilometers with a population of 20,800. It governs seven villagers' committees: Xintan, Danglu, Feiquan, Qianjin, Xincun, Xiaocun, and Qianyun, as well as the Dacun Residents' Committee.
