The Stone Carvings Group on Dongshan Mountain in Nancheng is located on the summit of Dongshan in Nancheng District, Xinpu. The carvings are spread across the southern peak of Dongshan, along both sides of the path to Yuhuang Palace, and around the "Turan Cave" southeast of Yuhuang Palace. There are more than 30 stone inscriptions from the Ming, Qing, and Republican periods, featuring various scripts and sizes. The largest characters are 68–55 cm, and the smallest are 25–16 cm. Most of the inscriptions praise the natural scenery. This stone carvings group serves as a vivid educational resource for patriotic education, and holds certain value for the development of tourism and research in calligraphy art. It was designated as part of the second batch of cultural relic protection units of Lianyungang City in 1993.
