Stone Carvings on Niushou Mountain (Eastern Han Dynasty)

The stone carvings on Niushou Mountain are located on the mountainside of Niushou Mountain in Huaguoshan Subdistrict, High-tech Zone, Lianyungang City. To the west is a cliff, and to the east lies an ancient road leading from Dacun to Guanli. There are a total of four carvings distributed across three rock surfaces, arranged from south to north as follows: “Wupingli □□□□□”, “□□Han Jian □”, “Jianchu Seventh Year”, “□□Wuping □li Liu Zu Li Xi Di”. The inscriptions face east, with uneven character sizes averaging about 20 centimeters. The text is difficult to decipher, written in clerical script with a simple and vigorous brush style.

The stone carvings on Niushou Mountain are relics from the Eastern Han Dynasty and hold significant importance for the study of local Han culture.
