Huai'an Cherry Blossom Garden Water Conservancy Scenic Area

The Huai'an Cherry Blossom Garden Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Cherry Blossom Garden covers a total area of 680 acres, including both land and water, with an infrastructure investment of 24 million yuan. The entire park was planned and designed by renowned professors from Southeast University, making it a modern recreational park that integrates leisure and entertainment.

The garden is home to over 80 varieties and more than 90,000 plants, and nearly 100,000 square meters of lawn have turned the once sandy and windy Yellow River beach into a lush green and blue ocean. Modern amusement facilities such as the double flying chair, go-kart racing, and the golden dragon roller coaster offer visitors an exhilarating experience. The newly built and operational water park this year has added a beautiful attraction to the summer landscape of Huai'an. The top-tier open-air theater in northern Jiangsu, which can accommodate up to a thousand people, has successfully hosted large-scale events such as the “China Huai'an – Japan Kyushu Folk Culture Gala.” The park has also organized events like the Sichuan Zigong Lantern Festival and the Shandong Weifang Kite Festival, further enriching the cultural life of residents in Huai'an and surrounding counties, with significant social benefits.

The scenic area is located within Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, and is built upon the Huai'an Cherry Blossom Garden Soil and Water Conservation Science and Technology Demonstration Project. It is classified as a soil and water conservation-type water conservancy scenic area, covering an area of 0.634 square kilometers, with a water area of 0.12 square kilometers. The scenic area utilizes existing ditches and ponds, transforming them into various-sized water bodies that complement each other, creating a shimmering inner lake landscape. The North-South Boundary Marker Park on the ancient Yellow River within the scenic area is the first geoscenic landmark in China themed around this geographical boundary. The area also showcases water conservation measures such as ecological slope protection. As a water conservation demonstration zone adjacent to the ancient Yellow River and situated within an urban area, the scenic area plays a positive role in improving the urban ecological environment and fostering a pleasant living atmosphere. At the same time, as a public welfare scenic area, with continuous investment and support from the local government, it provides residents with an excellent venue for leisure, entertainment, and science education.
