Dafeng Dream Maze is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Dream Maze, located in Caoyan Town, Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, can be reached by turning right one kilometer from the Baiju exit of the Shenhai Expressway. The scenic area spans a planned area of over 3,700 acres, with more than 1,300 acres currently developed and open to the public. It is a comprehensive resort integrating leisure tourism, dining, accommodation, and educational research. On June 30, 2018, it was awarded two Guinness World Records titles.

The Plant Maze is the iconic project of the Dream Maze scenic area. It has earned two Guinness World Records titles: "The World's Largest Permanent Hedge Maze" and "The World's Longest Path Permanent Hedge Maze." Themed around the elk, a distinctive resource of Dafeng, it features over 40,000 red tip photinia plants forming the shape of a giant elk, with clear textures and lifelike details, surrounded by more than 100,000 neatly arranged juniper trees. Viewed from above, it resembles a massive elk striding confidently through the green fields.

Unlike traditional hedge-only designs, the Plant Maze includes over ten garden rest areas, with activities such as treasure hunts and adventures, allowing visitors to enjoy leisurely breaks even while navigating the maze. Surrounding it are various other maze types, including circular mazes, children’s mazes, heart-shaped mazes, and glass mazes, ensuring fun for visitors of all ages.

The maze features a 20-meter-high central viewing platform, offering panoramic views and a chance to marvel at the maze’s ingenuity. At the exit stands the Floral Castle, a beacon guiding explorers forward.

The Dream Maze scenic area breaks away from the closed and single-format model of traditional tourist attractions, integrating comprehensive services such as dining, accommodation, shopping, entertainment, performances, business, wellness, and weddings. Its core facilities are designed and built to high standards, with capacities sufficient to accommodate peak visitor demand, serving as a “model” for open, comprehensive tourism development.

The dining area includes Yongfeng Building, Hexiangxuan, Dream Restaurant, and Club Restaurant. Among them, Yongfeng Building covers a construction area of 10,000 square meters and features a thousand-person banquet hall, multi-function hall, à la carte dining area, Western buffet, and various sized private rooms. Hexiangxuan offers several elegant private rooms, an à la carte dining area that accommodates 120 people, and a banquet hall for 200 guests hosting various events. Carefully selected fresh, green ingredients are paired with expertly prepared dishes, delivering authentic farmhouse flavors and rustic charm. Dream Restaurant, built by the water with a wooden structure and spanning two floors, has over 600 seats and serves a variety of Chinese snacks and beverages. Club Restaurant offers various Western fast foods, burgers, fried chicken, and drinks.

The accommodation area includes five-star standard Yongfeng Building, waterside Zhengguang Building, Renheju, Waterfront Wooden Cottages, nature-integrated Chunmanyuan, rural-style homestays, and the modern and stylish Qicaimofang Campsite, totaling 243 suites, twin rooms, and king-size rooms. The diverse architectural styles cater to the varied needs of different guests.

Qicaimofang Campsite covers an area of 30,000 square meters, creatively themed around love and parent-child experiences. It features over 40 multi-story, mixed-sized container buildings, embracing cutting-edge architectural forms and offering artistic vibes for a diverse accommodation experience. Open the window to feel the breeze and floral scents; close it to enjoy your own peaceful retreat, merging with nature in your dreams.

In March 2018, the first batch of Jiangsu Province’s sports service complexes was announced, comprising 14 units, with Dream Maze in Dafeng District, Yancheng, among them.

The table tennis hall covers a construction area of 1,300 square meters, built to international competition standards with eight professional courts, a movable stage, LCD screens, and professional sound systems. It can host both domestic and international competitions and has been awarded the title of “Jiangsu Table Tennis Association Activity Base,” having hosted numerous provincial and municipal tournaments.

The trampoline hall covers 1,500 square meters and is one of the larger and most advanced venues in China. It features zones for free jumping, slam dunking, professional trampolining, dodgeball, diving, and a ninja area. A children’s trampoline sports center has been established, with professional coaches organizing regular training sessions to promote the sport.

The archery hall spans 800 square meters with 20 shooting lanes—two at 25 meters, four at 18 meters, eight at 10 meters, and six at 6 meters. It provides a range of professional equipment, including recurve bows, compound bows, and traditional bows. An archery club has been formed to engage local enthusiasts, with regular training and competitions on professional lanes. Recreational and children’s lanes are open year-round.

The Phantom Go-Kart Track covers 32,000 square meters with a 1.5-kilometer-long track, 8–10 meters wide, capable of accommodating over 30 karts simultaneously. Built to FIA Karting International Grade B standards, it hosts championships, grand prix, and cup events. Facilities include restaurants, spectator stands, timing systems, podiums, maintenance bays, garages, changing rooms, and restrooms. Open year-round except in severe weather, it also organizes member training and occasional cup or invitation events, with a professional service team experienced in race operations.

The Thunder CS Combat Base covers 20,000 square meters with two fields—large and small—supporting up to 100 participants in team battles. Regular events let participants experience the thrill of modern warfare and the excitement of tactical combat.

Additionally, football, badminton, basketball, esports, board games, and off-road vehicles are open year-round, with various sports competitions organized to meet growing public demands for personalized and diverse activities.

China’s second and Jiangsu’s first tank ride-and-drive project officially settled in the Dream Maze scenic area in June 2018 and opened to the public.

The tank ride-and-drive project covers 40,000 square meters with a 1-kilometer perimeter track. Built strictly according to market demand, visitor profiles, and legal regulations, it authentically replicates real tanks in appearance and power system simulation, enhancing safety and comfort. It is among the earliest projects in China using decommissioned and modified tanks for ride experiences.

The Bulletstorm Shooting Range covers 3,000 square meters with over 60 shooting lanes divided into large artillery, anti-aircraft machine guns, light machine guns, and pistol zones. Highly interactive and fun, it delivers the intense thrill of battle and is currently the largest airsoft shooting range in Jiangsu.

Both the tank ride-and-drive and bulletstorm shooting are components of the Dream Maze’s “Jiangsu Iron Army National Defense Education Base.”

The base covers 200 acres and consists of four main sections: teaching and office areas, outdoor training zones, logistics support, and equipment displays. It supports military training for active-duty soldiers, militia reserves, civil air defense units, college students, and corporate “Military Day” activities. The base features top-tier facilities and comprehensive functions as a modern, garden-style, multi-functional national defense education center.

The Flower Field Sightseeing Area cultivates various flowers such as roses, chrysanthemums, verbena, cosmos, and red maples, creating a romantic, colorful landscape across all seasons. Building on this, it implements a three-industry integration project, establishing a modern rose industrial park covering 50,000 square meters for cultivation, breeding, deep processing, and sales. It introduces globally renowned varieties like Bulgarian Damask roses, Louis XIV, and Carola, producing high-quality rose products such as pure dew, flower tea, floral liquid, jam, and soap, distributed nationwide.

The scenic area houses a 1,000-square-meter specialty supermarket offering a full range of northern Jiangsu products, including yellow mud snails, crab roe oil, jellyfish, shrimp paste, drunken crabs, pine-flower preserved eggs, free-range chicken eggs, Haifeng rice, and Dongsha seaweed, providing a one-stop shopping experience. Other amenities include karaoke rooms, Rose Theater, meeting rooms, and therapy rooms.
