Shenguang is located in the northern part of the Taichung Basin. As an early development focus in central Taiwan, it has preserved many historical sites. In recent years, the area has shifted its focus from agriculture to tourism. Bring your family for a weekend getaway to Shenguang!

Xiaoyun Mountain Villa is one of the few well-preserved private residences from the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. The Lü family is a typical representative of the literati and scholar-official class during the Qing Dynasty in Taiwan. The villa not only houses a richly stocked study but also features gardens in both Chinese and Japanese styles. It is a quadrangle compound with excellent feng shui layout—definitely worth a visit.

The Taiwan Balloon Museum includes a museum exhibition area, classrooms, VIP reception rooms, and a balloon shop. The museum was renovated from an old factory building and is equipped with vintage machines and modern digital displays that introduce the balloon-making process through text and images. A variety of DIY activities are available, along with irregular large-scale events. There is also an outdoor rock climbing area for adventurers to try out.

The Tan-Ya-Shen Green Corridor was built on the former military railway branch line in Shenguang. It starts in Tanzi District, passes through Daya District and Shenguang District, and ends in the central science park area of Daya District, spanning approximately 14 kilometers. With gently sloping terrain, it's perfect for family-friendly outdoor cycling. The route showcases different plantings reflecting seasonal charm and local district features.

The Shekou Lin Residence is a traditional quadrangle courtyard mansion, with dragon figures cast on both sides. The entrance hall is surrounded by two layers of walls, beyond which lies a pond. At the left end outside the wall stands a gate tower, giving the structure a grand and imposing scale. Its magnificence is second only to those of the Wufeng Lin Residence, Banqiao Lin Residence, and Maming Mountain Chen Residence, making it one of the top-ranking ancient residences in Taiwan.
