A small fishing village in Yunlin actually hides such a unique library?!The “Jackie Chan Community Center”is a result of the beautification project in Jackie Chan Village,transforming an originally abandoned space into a venue that records village history and provides a reading area for children; from the outside, it looks like an underwater kingdom, with waterbird door guardians as its most vibrant symbol. Inside, colorful mosaic tiles create a kaleidoscopic visual effect, paired with quaint and adorable furniture, turning it into a full-fledged fairy-tale world. The Jackie Chan Community Center is located in Jackie Chan Village, Kouhu Township, Yunlin County, adjacent to Anlong Temple. Nearby, you can also visit the Jackie Chan Wetlands to observe migratory bird ecology. As Kouhu Township itself is a small fishing village situated in a lagoon area, it has been affected by issues such as seawater backflow and land subsidence. Under the planning of Yunlin County Government, the area began developing tourism, promoting the“Jackie Chan Village Cultural Landscape Environmental Art Beautification” project. The Jackie Chan Community Center, the Jackie Chan Bumper Harvest Mural Wall, the Clam Treasure House, and the Sunset VIP Seats are all valuable outcomes of this initiative.

Inside the Jackie Chan Community Center, visitors can learn about the history of Jackie Chan Village, with photographs telling the growth story of this land. In addition, there aremany books, creating a small reading corner for the village’s children,while wooden furniture creates a warm atmosphere, like a safe haven or even a home, safeguarding and preserving all the memories of Jackie Chan Village.

For tourists, the Jackie Chan Community Center is also a great spot for photoshoots.Its exterior looks like a three-dimensional aquarium,guarded by water buffalo door deities throughout the premises. Walking along the pathway paved with white pebbles feels like entering an underwater world, with fish-themed paintings on both sides adding to the underwater dragon palace ambiance;the interior is covered with colorful mosaic tiles,which may seem chaotic at first glance but actually form an ordered composition. Through a kaleidoscopic visual feast, it creates a unique spatial artistry. Upon closer inspection, the wall tiles feature interspersed landscape photos and graffiti, combining playful design with educational meaning.
