Shanghai Luoxi Park

Luoxi Park is located at No. 150, Shiyi Road, Luodian Town, Baoshan District. It is a planned and open green space project, covering an area of 114 mu.

In 1985, to accelerate the development of Luodian Town and promptly improve the town’s green infrastructure, based on approvals from Document No. 222 (1985) of the Baoshan Planning and Construction Commission, Document No. 108 (1986) of Shanghai Urban Planning and Construction Use, and Document No. 5 (1986) of the Baoshan Municipal Government, 114 mu of land was acquired in Jinxing Village, Luodian, to construct Luoxi Park. The park was designed by the Shanghai Landscape Architecture Design Institute. Construction began in October 1985, but was postponed in 1988 due to funding shortages and other issues. Work resumed in 1990, and the park officially opened to the public on October 1 of that year.

This is a regional park featuring attractions such as the Grape Pavilion, Han Ying Pavilion, Maze Garden, and Rock Cave Waterfall. The park's unique features include the classic and exquisitely crafted Lailong Bridge and the bronze sculpture of the Golden Rooster Announcing Dawn. The landscaping is naturally arranged, with cedar and ginkgo as the main tree species, complemented by various flowering shrubs with differing blooms. Vast stretches of ginkgo trees, winding bamboo groves, and lush Albizia trees organically combine to form a delightful natural landscape. Fishing by the fish stream and admiring lotus flowers in the calm waters of the bay offer visitors a relaxing experience in nature.
