Wendaoyuan Garden

Wendaoyuan Garden is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Wendaoyuan Garden is located in the northeast corner of Luodian Town. It is a cultural leisure park primarily dedicated to preserving ancient rural architecture. The site features Huizhou-style buildings relocated from Anhui and other regions, as well as a collection of precious exotic stones. It also includes restaurants and private clubs. Due to its distance from the city center, most visitors come here to relax during their leisure time or for banquet dinners.

The main attractions in the scenic area are concentrated on the left side of the main gate, but visitors usually walk around from the right side, enjoying the garden landscape along the way. After passing the Bagua Lotus Pond, not far ahead lies the Exotic Stone Museum, which is the most worthwhile part of Wendaoyuan Garden. Inside, there is a full Manchu-Han Imperial Feast display — an entire table of stone-carved dishes that are truly mouthwatering. There is also a massive piece of Hetian jade, reportedly worth over 100 million yuan, which is the museum’s treasured centerpiece. Additionally, visitors can see a rare nest of dinosaur egg fossils and many other unique treasures. Stone enthusiasts should not miss this.

Exiting the Exotic Stone Museum and walking past the Imperial Edict Memorial Archway leads you to the Huizhou architectural complex. Huizhou carved flower buildings, the Martial Arts Champion Building, and other Huizhou-style structures have been rebuilt and renovated, taking on a completely renewed look. Paired with the small bridges and flowing water throughout the garden, they offer a distinctive charm. The Scholar’s Mansion has been transformed into Wendaoyuan Restaurant, featuring glass-walled sunlight rooms where you can order light snacks such as noodles and wontons. If you make a reservation at the restaurant (starting at 200 yuan per person), you can skip the entrance fee to the scenic area.
