The Tomb of Chen Bochui is a cultural tourism attraction.

Chen Bochui (1906–1997), a native of Luodian in Baoshan, was a renowned children's literature writer, publisher, and educator beloved by countless children.

In 1998, Chen Bochui’s ashes were interred at Baoluo Mingyuan Cemetery. On December 20, 2006, his hometown residents erected a bronze statue by his tomb, and Luoyang Primary School designated the burial site of their alumnus, Mr. Chen Bochui, as a “Practical Innovation Education Base for Young Citizens’ Moral Development.”

Mr. Chen Bochui began writing children’s literature in 1923. Over his lifetime, he created a vast body of literary works, including notable titles such as The Son of the Hua Family, Miss Alice, Boy Poloqiao, The Cat Who Wanted to Fly, and The Camel’s Treasure Hunt. These works have become milestones in the history of children’s literature, earning him the title “the Hans Christian Andersen of the East.” His theoretical works, such as An Introduction to Children’s Literature, offered incisive insights on numerous issues in the field. In 1981, he donated his life savings to establish the Chen Bochui Children’s Literature Award.
