The Site of Captain Yao Ziqing's Anti-Japanese Sacrifice is a Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Site of Captain Yao Ziqing's Anti-Japanese Sacrifice is located in Linjiang Park at No. 1 Youyi Road. Yao Ziqing (1909–1937), from Pingyuan, Guangdong, also known as Ruozhen and styled Zhongqi, in 1937 served as the Lieutenant Colonel in command of the 3rd Battalion, 583rd Regiment, 292nd Brigade, 98th Division, 18th Army of the National Revolutionary Army. He was ordered to go to Shanghai to fight the Japanese and stationed in Baoshan County. Leading 600 soldiers, he fought the enemy for seven days and nights. Outnumbered, the entire battalion valiantly sacrificed their lives. Captain Yao Ziqing himself died heroically in battle against the invading Japanese army on September 5 at the age of 29. On August 13, 1996, a memorial stele for the "Site of Captain Yao Ziqing's Anti-Japanese Sacrifice" was erected. The stone is a natural rock from Lingyan Mountain, inscribed with a commemorative text. On April 4, 2014, it was designated as a "Shanghai Municipal Cultural Relics Protection Unit."

On June 1, 1992, the Site of Captain Yao Ziqing's Anti-Japanese Sacrifice was listed by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government as a "Shanghai Anti-Japanese War Memorial Site." On August 13, 1995, the Shanghai Cultural Relics Management Committee and the Baoshan District People's Government built a stone memorial stele for the "Site of Captain Yao Ziqing's Anti-Japanese Sacrifice" on the lawn southwest of the Chen Huacheng Memorial Hall (the Dacheng Hall of the Baoshan Confucian Temple, now within Linjiang Park). The stele consists of two massive natural stones from Lingyan in Suzhou. One of them is 5 meters wide, 3 meters high, and weighs about 26 tons, symbolizing the unyielding "national spirit" of the Chinese people in resisting foreign aggression.
