Yichuan Park

Yichuan Park is located in the eastern part of Putuo District at No. 99 Yichuan Road. The park construction project was designed by the Shanghai Landscape Architecture Design Institute and constructed by the Putuo District Gardening Office. Construction began in November 1984, and the park officially opened to the public on May 1, 1986, with a total investment of 545,000 yuan. The park is named after Yichuan New Village and covers an area of 1.88 hectares.

The layout of Yichuan Park follows the format of a classical Chinese garden and includes features such as imitation grass pavilions, a cloud-kissing arch bridge, a winding bridge over rippling waters, a waterfall-viewing pavilion, and sculptures. Upon entering the park, visitors encounter a white marble sculpture of the “Flower Fairy,” lying amid flowers that bloom in all four seasons. The graceful figure symbolizes the essence of the many flower maidens from Zhao Family Garden.
