Changfeng Ocean World is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and a science education base.

Shanghai Changfeng Ocean World is a theme park operated under the Australian OCEANIS Group, integrating leisure entertainment, tourism, and scientific research. The OCEANIS International Group is the world’s largest operator in the aquarium industry, with six aquariums globally located in Sunshine Coast (Australia), Melbourne (Australia), Busan (South Korea), Shanghai (China), Bangkok (Thailand), and Dubai (UAE), while an aquarium project in Toronto (Canada) is currently under planning.

The Polar White Whale Theatre at Changfeng Ocean World has undergone two major renovations and has become the largest marine animal performance venue in mainland China, and the first in East China to feature white whales. It can accommodate up to 2,000 people. In addition to its star performer, the little white whale, the theatre has also introduced other marine mammal stars such as California sea lions and dolphins. Visitors will soon be able to enjoy their amazing performances and experience the wonder of harmonious interaction between humans and animals. The animal performance stage shows “Little White Whale Looks for Mommy” and “The Secret of the Treasure Chest” were successfully staged during the Golden Weeks of May Day and National Day, receiving warm applause from the audience.

Another key component of Changfeng Ocean World—the aquarium—is China’s first large-scale thematic aquarium. Its main structure is located 13 meters beneath the surface of Yin Chuo Lake and houses over 300 species and more than 15,000 fish. The aquarium is divided into sections including Jungle Adventure, Coral Reef, Deep Sea Shipwreck, Shark Tunnel, and Penguin Pavilion. Visitors can experience the thrilling sensation of being up close with the ocean's apex predators in the Shark Tunnel, while the renovated Jungle Adventure area, with its realistic rainforest environment, is especially popular among children.

To date, Changfeng Ocean World has welcomed over 6 million visitors from home and abroad and is one of the national youth science education bases. The aquarium has also successfully launched a range of services for the public, including a diving club, membership club, underwater weddings, and overnight stays in the aquarium, achieving strong brand recognition and commercial returns.
