The site of the temporary headquarters of the 19th Route Army during the War of Resistance Against Japan is a cultural heritage conservation unit in Putuo District.
The site of the temporary headquarters of the 19th Route Army during the War of Resistance Against Japan is located at No. 38–40, Chezhan Xincun, No. 127 Taopu Highway, Zhenru Town, Putuo District, Shanghai. Originally the villa of Cantonese businessman Fan Xiao — known as Fan Zhuang — it consisted of two Western-style bungalows, each with a floor area of about 100 square meters. It was destroyed in the artillery fire during the “August 13th” Anti-Japanese Battle in 1937.
