Shanghai Jiaotong Park

Jiaotong Park is located at No. 262 Xīnmǎ Lù, facing south with its back to the north. To its east and west are factories and residential buildings, to the south is the Hu-Ning Railway, and to the north is Xīnmǎ Lù. The park is long from east to west and narrow from north to south.

The rest pavilion on the west side of the park’s main entrance is a semi-open corridor, 30 meters long and 12.1 meters wide, built with a brick-and-wood structure and featuring a hip-and-gable roof tiled with small blue tiles. The corridor walls are adorned with variously shaped lattice windows. Outside the corridor are five sets of round tables and stools made of bluestone, two flower stands scattered with lake rocks, and plants such as podocarpus, mahonia, and honeysuckle. In the middle of the park stands a sculpture of two dancing maidens, carved from white marble, 1.8 meters tall with a 0.5-meter base. Below the sculpture is a large holly flower bed, alongside three slightly smaller flower beds planted with boxwood and other greenery. The western part of the park features a wisteria arbor, a mixed-structure construction 16.6 meters long, 6.5 meters wide, covering an area of 78 square meters, with a floor paved with colored marble fragments.
