The Site of the Baipinbao Relics is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Site of the Baipinbao Relics is located in Baipinbao Village, Minyi Township, Zhaoyuan County, in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang. It is a Bronze Age cultural site dating back approximately 2,900 years, equivalent to China’s Western Zhou period.

The Site of the Baipinbao Relics was discovered in 1974 and covers a total area of about 180,000 square meters. It is a typical Bronze Age site on the Nenjiang Plain. The site is situated on a second-level terrace on the left bank of the Nenjiang River, more than 30 meters above the ground level, with its center located in the relatively flat southwestern area. Within the site, remains such as house foundations, storage pits, kilns, and ash pits have been found, and unearthed artifacts include pottery, bronze ware, stone tools, bone implements, and shell artifacts. Among them, the pottery mainly consists of grayish-brown sandy pottery and clayey brown pottery, with vessel shapes including jars, bowls, tripods, basins, pots, and cups.

The Baipinbao Site is the first formally scientifically excavated Bronze Age site on the Songnen Plain with distinct local characteristics. Its discovery is of great significance for studying the economic conditions, cultural features, social structures, as well as ethnic affiliations and origins of the Bronze Age communities in the Nenjiang and Songhua River basins.

In November 1996, the Baipinbao Site was designated by the State Council as part of the fourth group of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Minyi Township: Located in the southwestern part of Zhaoyuan County, approximately 48 kilometers from the county seat. The township covers a total area of 132.97 square kilometers. It administers 6 administrative villages and 13 natural villages, with a total population of 19,000, of which 17,000 are agricultural residents. The township has 6,833 hectares of arable land, including 800 hectares of paddy fields, accounting for 11.7% of the total cultivated land.
