Cliffside Forget-Worry Scenic Area

The Cliffside Forget-Worry Scenic Area is located at the crescent of the crescent-shaped mountain peak in the front scenic area, at an altitude of 380 meters, and consists of six landscapes. Beneath Forget-Worry Cliff are Parrot Rock, Medicinal Spring, Old Camp, Horse-Drinking Spring, and Coiling Dragon Stone, while atop the cliff lies Lucky Stone. This scenic area centers around Old Camp.

Old Camp has long been a place for mountain foraging, herb digging, and tourist rest. About 50 meters downhill along the stone steps from Old Camp, Parrot Rock is on the right side of the path, and Medicinal Spring is on the left. This medicinal spring never dries up throughout the year and offers cool, refreshing water. About 30 meters uphill from Old Camp, you’ll reach the summit of Forget-Worry Cliff, where you can see Lucky Stone. Alternatively, walk 40 meters along the stone steps from Old Camp, and on the left side of the path you’ll find a natural stone trough lying flat beside a spring—hence the name “Horse-Drinking Spring.”

About 20 meters further ahead, on the right side of the path, lies “Coiling Dragon Stone.” This rock stands about 2 meters tall and covers an area of approximately 10 square meters. A large oak tree grows more than a meter away from the rock, its trunk bending toward the stone, with its base parallel to the upper part of the large rock. The trunk wraps around the surface of the stone and extends upward, while several branches grow straight up from the horizontally growing trunk. The tree’s body resembles a dragon coiled around the rock, and the branches look like an open umbrella—hence the name “Coiling Dragon Stone.” The most spectacular sight in this scenic area is Forget-Worry Cliff. Once visitors climb to the top, they can take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Looking around, distant mountain ranges rise layer upon layer amid swirling clouds and mist; nearby peaks stand densely, with green pines stretching their verdant needles skyward; and the forest below ripples like waves. Especially enchanting is the Yongcui River, which resembles a jade ribbon drifting in from the distance, as if adorning the Xianweng Mountain Scenic Area with a white border.
