Divine Turtle Crossing Scenic Area

Divine Turtle Crossing is the last scenic area in the front section. This area features eight attractions: Earth Cavern, Canopy Palm, Bear King Hall, Divine Turtle Peak, Mysterious Valley, Playful Bear, Twin Stone Gates, and Dragon Spring. This scenic area faces the Immortal Elder Peak from afar and connects to the “Azaleas Dyed with Love.” Divine Turtle Peak is the highest point in this area, standing at an elevation of 370 meters. The peak is higher in the south and lower in the north, resembling vividly a mountain turtle struggling to climb uphill, clearly visible from several miles away in both the west and east directions. Especially during the early morning when the valley is shrouded in mist, the image of the divine turtle comes to life even more strikingly.

On both sides of the cliffs, east and west of Divine Turtle Peak, the terrain is rugged with jagged rocks, dense thickets, and ancient vines winding around—typical of the “Tiaoshi Pond” landform. To one side lies Heixia Gully, which contains attractions such as Earth Cavern, Canopy Palm, and Bear King Hall; on the other side is Mysterious Valley, flanked by steep cliffs. Upon entering the valley from the upper mouth and descending about 70 meters, the mountain ridges on both sides split apart, forming a pair of naturally formed stone gates—these are the “Twin Stone Gates.” Right in the middle, running parallel to the Twin Stone Gates, lies the “Dragon Spring.” The valley is shaded and secluded, deep and tranquil, giving visitors a somewhat eerie and foreboding feeling. However, once you exit through these gates, sunlight pours in, and the surroundings suddenly open up into a bright, expansive view.
