Longquan Lake Reservoir

The construction of Longquan Lake Reservoir addressed the residential, industrial, and domestic water needs of Xilin District. The reservoir is located in the Twelfth Forest Farm of Xilin District, with a total storage capacity of 8.5 million cubic meters and an effective storage capacity of 7.2 million cubic meters, covering a water surface area of 142 hectares. The ring-shaped dam is 710 meters long, and an 8-meter-wide sluice spillway is installed on the right abutment near the mountain side. The reservoir covers a water area of 1.42 square kilometers, with the surrounding area predominantly consisting of mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests. On both sides upstream, the terrain features outward-flaring mountain slopes. A newly built 7-kilometer cement road in Xilin District provides direct access to the reservoir, ensuring very convenient transportation.

The planned tourism area of the reservoir spans 413.13 hectares. In summer, the surrounding mountains are lush and green, filled with birdsong and floral fragrance. From a distance, the misty waters create a fairy-tale-like scene, making it a unique natural attraction in Xilin District. It serves as an ideal destination for leisure and recreation, offering a comprehensive resort experience that includes boating, fish farming, fishing, picnicking, dining, ice skating, snow viewing, and relaxation.
