Hegang National Mine Park is located in the northeastern part of Heilongjiang Province, situated in the buffer zone between the Lesser Khingan Mountains and the Sanjiang Plain. Covering a total area of 665.72 hectares, it is one of the first 28 national-level mine parks in China.

Hegang National Mine Park is dedicated to preserving mine relics, promoting mine culture, and developing tourism resources. Relying on key sites such as the North Open-pit Pit Ruins of Xinling Coal Mine, Yixin Coal Mine, Langwo World War II Exhibition Hall, and Hegang Mining Group’s Mining History Museum (Dongshan Ten Thousand People Pit), it comprehensively showcases the century-long history and unique mining culture of Hegang.

The North Open-pit Pit Ruins of Xinling Coal Mine stretches 3,100 meters in length, 1,100 meters in width, with a maximum depth of 130 meters, covering an area of 341 hectares. It features large-scale geological sections and rare geological phenomena in China such as earthquakes, mineral deposits, folds, and faults, which hold high scientific research and sightseeing value, making it the core scenic area of the mine park. Radiating from this site are various themed zones including the Hegang Historical Exhibition Area, Hegang Window Expo Area, Scenic Hegang Retrospective Area, Patriotic Education Area, Mine Culture Browsing Area, Sino-Russian Friendship Memorial Area, Valley Light and Shadow Viewing Area, Canyon Leisure Resort Area, and Folk Custom & Gourmet Food Area.

The park offers a rich variety of attractions. Large-scale relief walls and thematic sculptures provide a visual impact; artistic pieces depicting the production and life of miners reflect the fearless and dedicated spirit of these heroic workers; realistic and vivid simulated models; and precious historical relics, photographs, as well as modern multimedia forms that interpret the cultural essence of the mines and disseminate coal science knowledge.
