Toutaogang Reservoir

Toutaogang Reservoir is located in Jiasutai Village, Changjiang Village, Sanshengyu Town, in the northwest of Nong'an County. The dam site is situated at 124°50′ east longitude and 44°28′ north latitude, on the lower reaches of Niangniangmiao Gully, a tributary of the closed drainage area of Boluopaozi. The reservoir controls a catchment area of 388 square kilometers. The engineering design flood standard is for a 50-year recurrence interval, and the verification flood standard is for a 200-year recurrence interval. It has a total storage capacity of 25.6 million cubic meters, and is classified as a Grade III project. It is a medium-sized reservoir primarily for flood control, while also serving purposes such as irrigation and fish farming. The reservoir has a multi-year regulation capacity, with a designed irrigation area of 470 hectares, and provides protection for 12,000 mu of downstream farmland, as well as the safety of over 2,000 residents in 10 villages and hamlets.
