Gongqingtuan Reservoir

Gongqingtuan Reservoir is located in Sangang Township in the southwest of Nong'an County, on the Baoquan River, a tributary of the Yitong River in the Second Songhua River basin. It has a total storage capacity of 11.2 million cubic meters, an effective storage capacity of 6.49 million cubic meters, and controls a drainage area of 114 square kilometers. Designed to a hundred-year standard and checked against a thousand-year flood, it is a medium-sized reservoir integrating functions such as irrigation, flood control, water supply, and fish farming.

The project was initiated on March 29, 1958. Currently, the reservoir irrigates 500 hectares of paddy fields and 100 hectares of reeds. It supplies water for 700 hectares of intensive fish ponds and provides water for 24,000 people and 5,000 large livestock across four townships and one farm in the Wozhonggao area. Additionally, it protects 50 natural villages downstream, a population of 15,000, 3,500 hectares of farmland, as well as fish ponds, roads, railways, power transmission lines, and other facilities from flood hazards.
