Nong'an Wutai Mountain Site

The Nong'an Wutai Mountain Site is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

On a terrace atop Wutai Mountain in Liubaoshan Village, Aigantutu Village, Yong'an Township, northwest of Nong'an County, six Neolithic house ruins are arranged in a serpentine pattern. Walking through the long entrance passage of one of these "houses," you can clearly see the postholes on either side. Stepping inside the "house," you enter the main activity area of its ancient inhabitants. In the corners of the "house" are hearths and storage pits used for cooking and keeping supplies. These are the circular-cornered, square, semi-subterranean house foundations newly excavated at the Wutai Mountain Site by the Changchun Museum. This discovery provides new evidence for studying the living environments and local settlement patterns of the Neolithic and Bronze Ages in our province.

In 2019, the Nong'an Wutai Mountain Site was included in the eighth batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.
