Site of the Ancient Chibaosong City

The Site of the Ancient Chibaosong City is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Chibaosong Ancient City is located on a low terrace about 3.5 kilometers southwest of Kuaimaomu Town, Tonghua County, with architectural ruins within the city. Based on excavated artifacts, it has been identified as a Han Dynasty site, providing important evidence for studying the central government's efforts to consolidate frontier administration and develop the northeast during that period.

The Chibaosong Ancient City is a Han Dynasty site situated on a second-level river terrace about 9 meters high, covering an area of approximately 60,000 square meters. The terrace faces south and slopes from north to south. The city walls were built along the perimeter of the terrace using rammed earth, forming an irregular rectangle. There are four walls, and the western section of the northern wall is quite high; here, the natural terrain was used and no wall structure is visible. There are four city gates, and three corner tower sites are found within the city.
