The Xialongtou Ancient Tomb Cluster is situated on the terraces on the right bank of the Hun River, north of Xialongtou Village. The tombs are distributed over an area approximately 400 meters long from north to south and 30 meters wide from east to west. The terrain slopes from west to east. There are currently 46 ancient tombs of varying sizes and different structures, which can be broadly categorized into three types: square platform stepped stone-chamber tombs, square platform stepped earthen-chamber tombs, and stone-piled serial tombs.
