Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Desheng Village, Ermi Town

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Desheng Village, Ermi Town, is located on the hillside behind Desheng Village in Ermi Town, northern Tonghua County, approximately 2 kilometers from the village. It covers an area of 780 square meters, with a protected area of the same size, and was renovated in 1995.

On February 13, 1947, the Nationalist army mobilized all possible mobile forces, launching a large-scale offensive against our Linjiang region with nearly four divisions. Our participating troops fought bravely, and by March 24, the battle resulted in the annihilation of over 14,000 Nationalist soldiers. Although both defensive battles achieved significant victories, our forces also suffered considerable casualties. In various towns and villages across Tonghua County, there are Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemeteries commemorating the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign. The Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Desheng Village, Ermi Town, primarily interred soldiers from the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army who sacrificed their lives, along with several comrades from the People’s Liberation Army’s Unit 591 during the socialist construction period, totaling 25 revolutionary martyrs.

Established in 1947 and put into use in the spring of 1995. The site has been well preserved with certain funding invested, and its structures are in good condition. (Provided by the Party School of the Tonghua County Committee of the Communist Party of China)
