The Tomb of the Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Madang Village, Ermi Town, is located on the northern slope of Madang Village in Ermi Town, in the northern part of Tonghua County, about 1 kilometer from the village. It covers an area of 1,300 square meters, with a protected area of 1,000 square meters, and a monument has been erected.

On February 13, 1947, the Nationalist Northeast Security Commander-in-Chief's Office assembled forces from four divisions to launch a third major offensive against our Linjiang region. Our Liaodong Military District continued to deploy the main forces of the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army to resolutely strike back at the invading enemy. On March 16, the “Third Campaign South of the River” by the Northeast Democratic Allied Army from North Manchuria concluded in coordination with operations in South Manchuria. Observing that the Nationalist forces in South Manchuria were becoming increasingly depleted, our Liaodong Military District launched a new offensive against the enemy in Tonghua in order to further annihilate their combat-capable troops. At 15:00 on March 17, the 10th Division and the 36th Regiment of the 12th Division of the 4th Column of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army were ordered to attack the 195th Division of the 52nd Army, which was defending Tonghua. At 15:00 on March 20, the 29th Regiment of the 10th Division of the 4th Column of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army launched an assault on the enemy’s Chair Mountain position in Tonghua City. Chair Mountain is located 5 kilometers north of Tonghua City, with an elevation of 760 meters, and earned its name due to its chair-like shape. Although the enemy had iced the slopes by pouring water and relied on fortified positions to hold the high ground, our 2nd Battalion of the 29th Regiment moved swiftly and unexpectedly seized the position. In this battle, 30 soldiers from our army sacrificed their lives and were buried in Madang Village.
