The Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery in Qinggou Village, Ermi Town

The Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery in Qinggou Village, Ermi Town, is located at the foot of a mountain one li south of Qinggou Village, Ermi Town, in the northern part of Tonghua County, approximately 10 kilometers from the town government seat in Ermi Village. It covers an area of 120 square meters, with a protected area of the same size.

On February 13, 1947, the Kuomintang army mobilized all available combat troops and launched a large-scale offensive on the Linjiang area with nearly four divisions. Our participating forces fought bravely, and by March 24, the campaign had eliminated over 14,000 Kuomintang troops. Although both defensive battles achieved significant victories, our forces also suffered considerable casualties. Qinggou Village in Ermi Town, Tonghua County, was located along the Tonghua– route and thus served as an important battlefield, witnessing combat during the first Battle of Linjiang. The unnamed revolutionary martyrs’ cemetery here is the burial site of 24 soldiers from the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Northeast Democratic United Army who sacrificed their lives.

Formed in the spring of 1947 and put into use in the spring of 1950. Although the site remains intact and usable, its construction standard is relatively low. (Provided by the Party School of the CPC Tonghua County Committee)

Ermi Town: Ermi Town was formed after the reform of agricultural tax exemption policies in Jilin Province, through the merger of the former Ermi Town, Madang Town, Gangu Township, and Hulu Tao Township.
