The Tomb of Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Tongxin Village, Guanghua Town, is located 1 li (approximately 0.5 km) north of Tongxin Village in the central part of Guanghua Town, Tonghua County, on the southern bank of the Hani River, adjacent to Guanghua Village where the town government is situated. It covers an area of 600 square meters, with a protected area of 300 square meters. Construction began in April 1975, and the site was renovated and expanded in 2006.

On January 30, 1947, Nationalist forces launched a second offensive against the Linjiang area with three divisions. Our troops fought in close coordination, and by February 8, they had eliminated over 5,200 Nationalist soldiers, thwarting the enemy’s second attack. On February 13, 1947, the Nationalists assembled nearly four divisions from all available mobile forces and launched an even larger-scale offensive against the Linjiang area. Our troops fought bravely in bloody battles, and by March 24, a total of more than 14,000 Nationalist troops were annihilated in this campaign. Although both defensive battles achieved significant victories, our troops also suffered considerable casualties. The revolutionary martyrs’ cemeteries in various towns and villages across Tonghua County mainly inter the remains of soldiers from the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Northeast Democratic United Army who sacrificed their lives during the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign. The Tomb of Unnamed Martyrs in Tongxin Village, Guanghua Town, is one of them, where five soldiers are buried. The gravestone is inscribed with the words: “Forever remember the martyrs who heroically sacrificed their lives for the liberation of the Chinese people.”
