The Tomb of Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Huanxiling Village, Sankeshu Town, is located 200 meters east of the village committee office in Huanxiling Village, Sankeshu Town, Tonghua County, and about 5 kilometers from the town government seat in Sankeshu Village. It covers an area of 80 square meters, with a protected area of the same size.

After the liberation of Tonghua on May 22, 1947, the retreating remnants of the enemy forces set up camp in the vicinity of Sankeshu Village. A company of our army pursued them and made necessary rest and regrouping efforts in Huanxiling Village. Unexpectedly, the routed Kuomintang troops in Sankeshu Village suddenly split into two routes for an attack—one infiltrated over the mountains from Yimushu Village to Laolongwan, while the other attacked via Jiapigou Miaoling. The two forces launched a surprise assault on our Northeast Democratic Allied Army’s Fourth Column company stationed in Huanxiling Village. At the time, some soldiers who were washing clothes by the river, unprepared for battle, were encircled, leading to fierce combat. Due to the suddenness of the attack and being caught off guard, our forces were at a serious disadvantage, resulting in the heroic sacrifice of seven comrades, including the company commander. They were buried in what is now Huanxiling Village, Sankeshu Town, Tonghua County, and are commonly referred to by locals as the “Eighth Route Army Cemetery.”
