Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Yanjiang Village, Sankeshu Town

The Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Yanjiang Village, Sankeshu Town, is located beside the eastern highway of Yanjiang Village, Sankeshu Town, Tonghua County, about 1 kilometer from the village center and 7.5 kilometers from Sankeshu Village, where the town government is situated. Covering an area of 300 square meters with a protected zone of the same size, it was established in October 1946 and renovated in July 2003.

In October 1946, following orders from the Nationalist Northeast Security Command Headquarters, Nationalist troops advanced toward Tonghua along the Shenyang–Fushun–Xinbin line. In mid-October, after capturing Xinbin, the 195th Division of the Nationalist 52nd Army continued its push toward Tonghua. On October 19, they occupied Wangqingmen in Xinbin. Seizing the opportunity while the enemy had not yet consolidated their position, the 20th and 21st Regiments of the 7th Division of the 3rd Column of the Northeast Democratic Allied Forces launched an attack that night. A fierce battle ensued in the areas of Wangqingmen in Xinbin County and Xiapai Tun in Sankeshu Village, Ying’ebu District, Tonghua County, against the 2nd Battalion of the 584th Regiment of the 195th Division, 52nd Army of the Nationalist forces. The Communist troops successfully repelled the invaders. The Revolutionary Martyrs' Cemetery of Yanjiang Village, Sankeshu Town, Tonghua County, is the burial site of six soldiers who sacrificed their lives in this battle, including Li Chengcai, Wu Zhian, Mao Gongxun, and Jia Fuyu.
