The Tomb of the Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Xinglin Town

The Tomb of the Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Xinglin Town is located on the eastern side of Xinglin Village in the northeastern part of Xinglin Town, Tonghua County, about 1 kilometer from the village center and 3 kilometers from Dahuanggou Village, where the town government is located. It occupies an area of 200 square meters, with a protected area of 100 square meters.

On February 13, 1947, the Kuomintang forces gathered all possible mobile forces and launched a larger-scale offensive against our Linjiang region with nearly four divisions. Our participating troops fought bravely, and by March 24, this campaign had eliminated more than 14,000 Kuomintang soldiers. Although both defensive battles achieved significant victories, our forces also suffered considerable casualties. In various towns and villages of Tonghua County, there are graves of revolutionary martyrs from the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign, primarily commemorating the soldiers who sacrificed their lives while serving in the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Liaodong Military District under the Northeast Democratic Allied Army. The Tomb of the Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Xinglin Village, Xinglin Town, is one of them, housing the remains of three soldiers. The tombstone bears the inscription: Eternal glory to the unnamed martyrs.

Established in the spring of 1947 and put into use in the spring of 2005. The site is preserved as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit and patriotic education base. (Provided by the Party School of the CPC Tonghua County Committee)
