The Tomb of Unnamed Revolutionary Martyrs in Da’an Village, Da’an Town, is located 2 kilometers south of Da’an Village, Da’an Town, Tonghua County, by the Shuidong River, covering an area of 900 square meters. The revolutionary martyrs' cemetery in Da’an Village, Da’an Town, is the burial site of 48 soldiers from the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Liaodong Military District of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army who sacrificed their lives during the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign. The inscription on the tombstone reads: Eternal Glory to the Revolutionary Martyrs.
On January 30, 1947, Kuomintang troops launched their second offensive against the Linjiang area with three divisions. Through close coordination among our participating forces, by February 8, a total of more than 5,200 Kuomintang soldiers were annihilated, shattering the enemy’s second attack. On February 13, 1947, the Kuomintang troops mustered all available mobile forces and launched an even larger-scale offensive against the Linjiang area with nearly four divisions. Our participating forces fought bravely, and by March 24, this campaign resulted in the annihilation of over 14,000 Kuomintang troops. Although these two defensive battles achieved significant victories, our forces also suffered considerable casualties. In various towns and villages across Tonghua County, there are cemeteries for the martyrs of the “Four Defenses of Linjiang” campaign, primarily burying 48 soldiers from the 3rd and 4th Columns of the Liaodong Military District of the Northeast Democratic Allied Army who lost their lives.
Formed in the spring of 1947, put into use in the autumn of 1947, rebuilt in 1963, and reconstructed again in 2008. The site has been well preserved and utilized, with a high level of construction quality. (Provided by the Party School of the Tonghua County Committee of the CPC)
