It is

located to the west of the former Jilin Intermediate People's Court. The temple was built in the 35th year of the Qianlong reign during the Qing Dynasty (1770), and has undergone multiple renovations and expansions since then. There are currently ten buildings on the site, including a main hall with three rooms, a scripture depository, the Hall of Three Saints, a dining hall, the Heavenly King Hall, and the bell and drum towers. The temple still houses a relatively complete set of the “Tripitaka” printed using woodblocks from the Yongzheng era of the Qing Dynasty. It suffered severe damage during the Cultural Revolution but has been largely restored to its original appearance after repairs.
