Jilin Shuishiying Museum

The Jilin Shuishiying Museum is located within the jurisdiction of Chuanying District, at No. 206 Desheng Road. It covers an area of 38,534 square meters, with a building area of 1,858 square meters. The museum has a staff of 15. Its functions include exhibitions on the history and culture of the Jilin Shipyard and Shuishiying, education, as well as the collection, research, and display of cultural relics.

Museum Facilities:

The Jilin Shuishiying Museum has a building area of 1,858 square meters. The exhibition area is divided into two floors with six sections: the Rise of the Jilin Navy, the Construction of Jilin City, Emperor Kangxi’s Eastern Tour to Jilin, the Jilin Navy’s Battle at Yaksa, Emperor Qianlong’s Eastern Tour to Jilin, and the Historical Contributions of the Jilin Navy. Centered around the rise and fall of the Jilin Shuishiying, the museum uses images, landscape reconstructions, sculptures, lighting, sound, and other multimedia methods to vividly present the history of the Jilin Shuishiying, as well as the grand scenes of Emperors Kangxi and Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty inspecting the navy during their eastern tours.

Historical Background:

In 2012, the Jilin Shuishiying Museum was established and has retained this name ever since.
