Chaganhot Tourist Resort

Chaganhot Tourist Resort is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

A provincial-level tourist development zone. Located in the northwest of Baicheng City, at the junction of Jilin, Heilongjiang, and Inner Mongolia, it is 45 kilometers from both Baicheng and Ulanhot. The Tu-Wu Highway and the Bai-A Railway run through the entire area; Ulanhot–Baicheng Airport is 48 kilometers away from the development zone. It is a comprehensive tourist development zone integrating sightseeing, tourism, conferences, leisure, and vacation. It was officially approved for establishment by the provincial government on November 29, 2002.

The Chaganhot Tourist Economic Development Zone covers a total area of 171.86 square kilometers, of which the main tourist development area spans 9.6 square kilometers, with a current planned area of 20 square kilometers. The area includes the Tao'er River, Tuanjie Lake,

Banla Mountain, Japanese puppet regime ruins, wind farms, grasslands, and other tourist resources.

Ethnic Culture Park: Located on the north side of Tuanjie Lake in the Chaganhot Tourist Area, this is a multifunctional park integrating dining, accommodation, and entertainment. Covering a total area of 66,000 square meters, it features 39 large and small Mongolian yurts, making it the largest yurt complex in Jilin Province.

WWII Ruins: On the western side of the tourist area, there are ruins of a Japanese military airport and a comfort station from the World War II era. The airport ruins were built in 1938, measuring 5,000 meters in length and 2,000 meters in width. There are 19 attached aircraft hangars and 8 material storage warehouses, most of which remain relatively well-preserved to this day. Two green-brick bungalows located on the western side of the Chaganhot Tourist Area are the former site of the comfort station for the 7th Flying Brigade of the Japanese Army. Today, the site has been turned into an exhibition of Japanese war crimes and a patriotic education base.

Eco-Agriculture Sightseeing Park: Located at the entrance of the Chaganhot Tourist Development Zone, it covers an area of 150,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 24,700 square meters. It is a comprehensive functional park integrating eco-agriculture sightseeing, technological demonstration, tourism, leisure, entertainment, catering, accommodation, and rural culture. It also serves as the green and pollution-free vegetable production base for the tourist area.

Tao'er River Resort: Located at the head of the canal by the Tao'er River at the foot of Banla Mountain, it is a western scenic spot in the Chaganhot Tourist Economic Development Zone. Nestled against mountains and by the water, the resort boasts unique natural scenery and is an ideal place for leisure, vacation, and entertainment.

Jin Taizu Shrine: Situated on the west bank of Tuanjie Lake within the tourist area, it covers an area of 1,200 square meters, with a construction area of 160 square meters. This shrine is the foremost memorial dedicated to Jin Taizu, and in addition to a statue of Emperor Wanyan Aguda, the walls are adorned with murals depicting his military campaigns.
