The former site of the Liaji Provincial Committee, during the Liberation War period, after Japan’s surrender on August 15, 1945, in the area bordering present-day Liaoning, Jilin, and Inner Mongolia, a series of party, government, and military institutions were successively established, including the Liaji Administrative Office of the Chinese Communist Party’s Liaoning Provincial Committee. These institutions led the various ethnic groups in the region in a resolute struggle against the reactionary forces of the Kuomintang. The original building was constructed during the Japanese puppet regime and was partially demolished in 1980, with some parts later reconstructed. It served as the office and rest area for the Liaji Provincial Committee at that time.
