Sound Transmission Square

Sound Transmission Square was built on the former site of the No. 9 Middle School. It is one of the people's livelihood projects proposed in the 2011 government work report of our county. The county Party committee and the county government, committed to focusing on, safeguarding, serving, and improving people's livelihood, have created a great place for leisure, entertainment, and recreation for the residents of the county town. The square covers an area of 20,000 square meters, including 11,000 square meters of green space and 9,000 square meters of paved areas, with a total investment of 5.19 million yuan.

The design of the square mainly revolves around the theme of "education." The central landscape of the square consists of three main areas: the "Wise Enjoy Water" activity zone, the "Benevolent Enjoy Mountain" walking area, and the "Scholarly Family" resting area.

The "Wise Enjoy Water" activity zone features an oval-shaped pool, in which a small landscape of "artificial hill and flowing water" has been designed. A wooden boardwalk leading from the entrance of Sound Transmission Street extends all the way into the pool, creating a natural scene with mountains, water, scenery, and people.

The "Benevolent Enjoy Mountain" walking area is located to the south of the "Wise Enjoy Water" activity zone. It is raised about 45 centimeters above the ground and consists of three background walls and four small sculptures representing "loyalty, filial piety, propriety, and righteousness." Visitors can stroll through this area, experiencing its subtly profound spiritual meaning.

The "Scholarly Family" resting area is situated to the west of the "Wise Enjoy Water" activity zone. Ancient scrolls have been enlarged and artistically transformed into a dynamic, undulating scenic wall. Engraved on the wall are educational quotes from the renowned figures Laozi, Confucius, and Mencius, as well as the full text of the Di Zi Gui (Standards for Being a Good Student and Child), accompanied by relevant illustrations to create a vivid combination of text and images. We have also produced a DVD explaining the Di Zi Gui with illustrations, which is played on loop in the square to serve an educational purpose.

Once completed, this square will add a beautiful new landmark to the western part of the urban area.
