The Helong Tumen River Basin Hongqi River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Helong Tumen River Basin Hongqi River Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located in Helong City, Jilin Province, and is a national-level water conservancy scenic area. The Hongqi River originates from the southern foothills of Zengfeng Mountain in Helong City, flows eastward through villages and towns such as Longcheng and Chongshan in Helong City, and along the way receives the waters of the Damalugou River and Xiaomalugou River, before joining the Tumen River near Guchengli in Chongshan Town, with a total length of 65.8 kilometers.

The Hongqi River originates from the southern foothills of Zengfeng Mountain in Helong City, flows eastward through villages and towns such as Longcheng and Chongshan in Helong City, and along the way receives the waters of the Damalugou River and Xiaomalugou River, before joining the Tumen River near Guchengli in Chongshan Town. It has a total length of 65.8 kilometers and a drainage area of 1,199 square kilometers. The Helong Tumen River Basin Hongqi River Water Conservancy Scenic Area was approved as a national water conservancy scenic area in 2014. The Hongqi River rafting route starts at Yuanshan Village in Chongshan Town and ends at the Hongqi River Waterfall, which is also the river’s confluence with the Tumen River. The entire course is 6 kilometers long, with an average water depth of 1.3 meters, and takes about 1.5 hours to complete, offering a highly thrilling and challenging experience. The scenic area features multiple waterfalls, such as Dongjiang Waterfall, Shangtian Waterfall, and Gucheng Waterfall, cascading dramatically from the cliffs. The landscape is dotted with uniquely shaped rocks and clear, transparent river water, making it an excellent destination for enjoying natural mountain and water scenery, immersing oneself in ecological culture, and engaging in leisure tourism and vacation.
