This event was hosted by Saber-toothed Tiger Outdoor, with co-organization by Wotu RV Travel, China-Singapore Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Gaomen Camping.From the 6th to the 9th, the convoy set off from Beijing, passing through Huludao in Liaoning, Liao Yuan's Egret Lake, Tianchi Lake of Changbai Mountain, Helong, and finally entered Yanji, a border city between China and North Korea. All participants experienced the most genuine Northeastern folk culture and the most authentic Korean culture. The entire route features sea views, high mountains, and China’s most beautiful highway landscape—Highway 202 Dream Road.
What’s more noteworthy is that this trip introduced the European ride-sharing billing model—participants shared costs on an AA basis and tipped their outdoor stewards individually. This made the overall expenses more transparent and fostered a sense of paying for others’ services among the travelers. Once the recruitment notice was released, due to the high-quality itinerary, unique travel style, and cost-effective travel, all six RVs were fully booked within half an hour. Participants came from various industries and regions, including family trips with parents and children, group travel with friends, and even ride-shares among previously unacquainted individuals. Along the way, besides enjoying the scenery and immersing in the local culture, the Saber-toothed Tiger Outdoor stewards designed several interactive games to enrich the journey. Thisreverse-thinking semi-self-guided travel experience will overturn everyone’s understanding of group tours.
To ensure the smooth running of this event, the support team for this RV camp was exceptionally strong, consisting of 3 outdoor stewards, 7 RV stewards, 2 videography stewards, 2 product experience officers, and 2 media experience officers. They carried professional outdoor equipment such as canopies, tents, mobile kitchens, barbecue grills, and eco-friendly tableware, providing comprehensive support and full documentation for the travelers’ journey.
It is reported that Saber-toothed Tiger Outdoor plans to develop four classic RV self-drive routes within the year. The Highway 202 route (Beijing–Changbai Mountain), as the first operational route, will regularly organize RV self-drive camp trips. The other three routes are: the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318 route, the Yangtze River Delta Jiangsu-Zhejiang route, and the Silk Road route (Xi'an–Urumqi).
