August 6,North Latitude 42° - Dream Highway No. 202Self-drivingRVInauguralExperience Campset off from Beijing and after nearly6 hours of driving, arrived at the Huludao campsite in Liaoning at 2 p.m.

The scenery in Huludao isn’t as bustling and noisy as that of Beidaihe, but its tranquil tourist environment and simple local customs offer a unique sense of a hidden paradise. The slightly cool sea breeze in Huludao blew away the fatigue of the journey. After quickly settling in, the organizers had already prepared a lavish seafood feast. To ensure the utmost freshness of the ingredients, all the seafood was purchased from the early morning seafood market on the morning of the 6th. Later, the team members either strolled along the beach or collected seashells, fully immersing themselves in the “slow life” that RV travel brings. Some even hiked 2.5 kilometers to the Longhui Viewpoint to enjoy the scenery and sea breeze. “Living in the fast-paced concrete jungle of the city all year round, being able to take half a day to stroll and unwind, to let go of everything and truly embrace this sense of ‘slowness,’ is an incredibly precious experience,” said Ms. Xie, one of the participants, sipping her kung fu tea in her RV.

Pleasant times always pass quickly. In the eveningat 8 p.m., the sky gradually darkened. The efforts of the outdoor hosts throughout the afternoonyielded amazing results.Beach, RVs, bonfire, barbecue — could there be a better combination? The canopy was set up, skewers were ready, music played softly from the speakers. Enthusiastic cooks among the participantsused gas stoves to fry buns and vegetables, or took on the role of grill masters. Everyone sat in a circle, drinking beer and eating skewers, watching the children perform shows... Although the participants didn’t know each other well when they first set off, within just one afternoon, they felt as relaxed and close as old friends, all enjoying the rare ease and joy together in this “sea and sky blend” setting. What a wonderful, tranquil happiness to savor.

At 10 p.m.,the water-filled RV provided enough water for a6group shower for everyone. After tidying up, everyone lay in bed. Though tired, they were full of anticipation for the new journey ahead.

Where there are roads, there are sights; where there are roads, there is home; where there are roads, there is love. See you tomorrow, my friends.

This event was organized by Saber Tiger Outdoor and co-organized by Wotu RV Travel, Zhongxin Culture Development Co., Ltd., and Gaomen Camping. From the 6th to the 9th, the convoy set off from Beijing, passing through Huludao in Liaoning, Lugu Lake in Liaoyuan, Heaven Lake on Changbai Mountain, Helong, and finally entered the Sino-Korean border city of Yanji. It is reported that Saber Tiger Outdoor plans to develop four classic RV self-driving routes this year. Route 202 (Beijing–Changbai Mountain), as the first operational route, will regularly organize RV self-driving camp trips. The other three routes are: the Sichuan-Tibet 318 Route, the Yangtze River Delta Jiangsu-Zhejiang Route, and the Silk Road Route (Xi'an–Urumqi).
